Jaci Goemaat

When I started working for a chiropractor in high school, I had no idea I had found my calling.  I was introduced to the ins and outs of chiropractic office management, the healing benefits of chiropractic, and the joy of watching patients heal faster and keep injuries at bay.

In 1997 I joined Hassel Family Chiropractic and I haven’t looked back.  As the office manager, I love the everyday interaction I have with our patients and I thrive on the challenges that come with managing insurance claims.  But one of the most exciting parts of my job is watching how Dr. Hassel inspires our patients and staff to embrace a healthier way of life – including me.

I have been motivated to transform the way I eat and exercise and I am also a patient and receive weekly adjustments for optimum health.

When I am not at work, I am at home in the country where I enjoy reading books, running, and spending time with my husband and two step-children.

Dr. Hassel Asks some important questions of interest to West Des Moines residents - Chiropractor West Des Moines Dr. Hassel Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
