West Des Moines Chiropractor Dr. BrieAnn Reedy

I was introduced to chiropractic during my junior year of college. I didn’t experience a miracle, but I experienced results. I also saw the results my doctor was getting with other patients and was amazed and impressed. I knew that this was something I wanted to check out. The more I learned about chiropractic the more excited I became. I decided that this was how I was going to help people so after graduating from Wartburg College (Go Knights!) I began my education at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

While at Palmer I became involved with the Gonstead club. I became passionate about Gonstead and eventually taught the Gonstead system to other students. I also completed over 160 hours of training through the Gonstead Seminar. At Palmer I was also able to travel with other students to Manaus, Brazil where we gave chiropractic care to those who did not have health care. It was an amazing experience and I got to help lots of people!

I realize the knowledge that I have been taught and the impact it can have on members of our community. I am passionate about giving specific, hands-on chiropractic care to my patients to help their bodies heal the way they were made to heal. I am excited every day to go to work and help people get well by using this gift that I have.

I originally hail from the great city of Emmetsburg, where much of my family still lives. I am the middle child of 5 children and enjoy every visit I have back home. Other than being with my family, I enjoy being active, biking, running, swimming, roller blading, canoeing, and cooking.

I get adjusted weekly because I realize the importance of keeping my spine healthy and well aligned. I enjoy working out, mostly running as this has been my passion but enjoy almost any type of cardio exercise. Now that you have learned a little about me I hope that you come into our office because I know that I can help you take steps towards better health.

Dr. Hassel Asks some important questions of interest to West Des Moines residents - Chiropractor West Des Moines Dr. Hassel Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
