West Des Moines Chiropractor Dr. Vince Hassel

Dr. Vince HasselWhile growing up, my best friend's dad was a chiropractor. I had exposure to chiropractic just a few times from him with injuries from various sports. In high school I had more care with injuries with wrestling and football.

Always, I was amazed with how chiropractic could help me get back to participation fast and help keep me there through the injuries that came with each season. Once I got to Palmer College and learned the true philosophy and the true health benefits of chiropractic care, I knew I had made the right choice.

I did my undergraduate studies at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.  After that, I pursued chiropractic studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  Since graduating, I have completed over 250 hours in post-graduate studies in the Gonstead system.

My wife, Raquel, and I have four girls who keep us busy with everything from gymnastics and dance to cheerleading, softball and piano! My own hobbies include golf, waterskiing, hunting, snowmobiling, exercising, and anything else I can do outdoors.

I get adjusted once a week. I exercise five days a week in the gym and I spend weekends doing family activities for exercising. Everyday, I eat six meals and drink a gallon of water.  My family eats as many  organic and healthy “real” food as possible. None of our kids have been vaccinated; none of them have ever taken any antibiotics. And, as busy as they are in activities, they display a good level of health. IN addition, all of my kids have been checked for subluxations and been adjusted since the day they were born!

Enough about me! I hope I get an opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. I am confident that I can help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care. Give our office a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

Dr. Hassel Asks some important questions of interest to West Des Moines residents - Chiropractor West Des Moines Dr. Hassel Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
